Who we are

This notice covers the Naple Technologies website and its enquiry form. Naple Technologies (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2026/726809/07, is responsible for the personal information you send us through it. You can reach us at privacy@napletech.online.

Our Information Officer is Esethu Tshintsholo.

What the website collects

The website collects only what you type into the enquiry form: your name, email address, company, role, company size, topic and message.

If you use the Talk to an engineer link, your email program sends us an ordinary email, and we receive whatever you choose to write.

Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, to run and protect the website.

The website uses Vercel Web Analytics to count visits: which pages are viewed, the referring site, and the visitor's country, browser and device type. It sets no cookies and does not follow you across sites or over time. It does not store your IP address.

Why we collect it

We use the details you send to reply to your enquiry and to follow up on it.

Research Volunteer Programme

If you apply to or join the Research Volunteer Programme, we collect only what we need to run it: your name, school or university and year, contact details, your parent or guardian's contact details if you are under 18, and a log of your volunteer hours. We use it to run the programme and write your certificate and references. Esethu Tshintsholo, our Information Officer, is the only person who sees it. For anyone under 18, we process this information only with a parent or guardian's consent. You can ask to see, correct or delete it at any time: email privacy@napletech.online.

Where it goes

When you send the form, your details are sent by email to Naple through Resend, an email delivery service, and stored in Naple's email inbox. The website is hosted by Vercel. These providers may store or process information outside South Africa.

Cookies

The website sets no cookies for analytics or advertising. The cookie notice explains more.

How long we keep it

We keep an enquiry for as long as we need it to reply and follow up, and then we delete it.

Your rights

Under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA), you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, and object to how we use it. You can also complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa).
